FOUNDATION FACTS
The Foundation has offered programs benefiting Wake Tech employees and students since 1988. These programs include the Excellence Awards, Tuition Assistance, instructional equipment, program support, Emergency Financial Aid and scholarships.
ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
Between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012, the Wake Tech Foundation raised $859,000 in cash, plus $791,000 in in-kind donations, for a total of $1,650,000.
EMPLOYEE CAMPAIGN
The Foundation raised $104,362. during the 11-12 Employee Campaign - a record breaking achievement made possible through the support of 622 Wake Tech Employees.
SCHOLARSHIPS
During the 11-12 Academic Year, 217 students continued their education at Wake Tech with the help of a Foundation scholarship. The total amount awarded exceeded $173,000.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
During the 11-12 Academic Year, the Foundation awarded over $62,000 to 79 Wake Tech employees pursuing their bachelors, masters, doctorate, certificate, licensure or other professional development.
To date, over 300 employees have received financial assistance to pursue their bachelors, masters, doctorate, certificate, licensure or other professional development through the Foundation’s tuition assistance program.
EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Since 1993, when the Foundation started providing the monetary support for the faculty excellence awards, and beginning in 1996, the staff excellence awards, the Foundation has presented a total of 221 awards to the college’s top faculty and staff.
