Anita White Memorial Scholarship (sponsored by Altrusa International, Inc., of Raleigh)

Two of Altrusa's goals are to respond to literacy needs in the community and to be a builder of women. When Raleigh Club Vice-President Anita White succumbed to lung cancer in 1997, it seemed appropriate to establish a scholarship in her memory that would respond to both of these goals. As a GRI residential specialist, Anita headed her own company, Hood Buyer's Realty. She was a community leader in her residential area, a caring neighbor, and a loving wife and mother.
